Starting out as the lead singer for Messiah in the 1980s, an all-original rock group, and subsequently, as one of the singers in the seven-piece wedding band called MindGames in the ‘90s, Tom was a “utility player”: a versatile musician capable of playing multiple instruments on demand (lead and/or background vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, piano, keyboards and percussion), appearing in numerous performances and in a number of roles.
MindGames eventually emerged into the Classic Rock scene enjoying moderate success in the Mid-Hudson Valley, New York region, playing local clubs and small concert venues. Following its disbanding, Tom, a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist created and released Late Blind Nite with Ronnie Kane (drums and percussion) in 2013. Late Blind Nite (both the band’s name and self-titled work) features a series of eclectic musical styles (Latin Rock, Country Rock, Pop, Easy Listening and Jazz) primarily in an acoustic driven format interspersing eccentric rhythms, horns, violins, and synthesizers with layers of interweaving harmonies topped with satirical lyrics. Tom thanks Germain Matthieu (keys), Lenny Lopez (lead classical guitar on “In Your Arms Tonight”) and Bill Buarle (bass), for their contributions to this project.
